Other Important Information:

We still need someone to take over librarian job. Again, the bulk of the work is done by many willing helpers, someone just needs to take over the organization and scheduling of the music sorting.

The board has decided to continue to sell advertisements to help offset our operating costs. Please, please be thinking of businesses you can sell to. Advertising agreements will be passed out at rehearsal. We are still requesting that everyone sell one ad this year, so if you already sold one--thank you, you are off the hook! But....if you didn't, we need your help!

Recruit, recruit, recruit!!!!! We need singers and musicians in every section!

The choir will continue to meet on Thursday nights!  If you have friends or family who might be interested in our group, please pass this message along. The choir rehearses on Thursday nights, 6 pm to 7:30 pm, at the William J. Johnston Middle School, in the choir room (to the right of the gym/middle entrance). We are in need of all voice parts. This is an amateur community group, that sings a variety of music types--popular, classical, folk, sacred, Broadway. We take adult voices; high school students are welcome. The orchestra rehearses on Thursday nights, 7:30 pm to 9 pm, in the William J. Johnston Middle School band room. Please show up a bit early to warm up; we will start playing at 7:30.

Additional Information

If you haven't yet paid your annual dues, please do; they are $35 for adults, $15 for students, and help fund our new music and costs to hold concerts.

Keep the orchestra in mind as you make your way around Connecticut, particularly if you are involved in musical activities.  We are particularly in need of string players, French Horn players, percussionists, and a bassoonist. All others are, of course, always welcome.
